Enjoy the fruits of your labor by planting a bare root plum tree! Our Bare Root Plum Trees
Use fresh, canned, or dried into prunes. European plum tree varieties are easy to grow, self pollinated, good for higher elevations and cold micro–climates, and well suited to processing. Japanese plum tree varieties tend to have larger crops, are not generally self-pollinated, can be tricky to grow in areas with late frosts, but are superb for fresh eating. Lower elevation areas and valley growers may plant any variety.
Santa Rosa, Burgundy, Satsuma, Methley… enjoy flowering plum trees in your garden!
All are semi–dwarf on Citation rootstock. Unpruned, semi–dwarf trees reach 3/4 of standard size (about 8'–14'). Trees are 2 years old, and should begin to fruit in their 4th year.
