“There is nothing more important than doing what we love and thriving in the present moment, at the heart of who we are meant to be. »
Following in the footsteps of her architect father, she spent her childhood drawing, coloring, pasting, tracing, painting, she found in manual activities a refuge and a way to express herself Deep down, she always wanted to be an artist and very quickly creation imposed itself on her. After attending art school, she began creating painted sets, photography, video and painting. Then a sophrologist for 15 years, she taught Qi Cong, sophrology, meditation, she led self-massage workshops, Vietnamese and Tibetan gymnastics…. This personal development work allowed him to fully open up to artistic expression and the emotion of creation.
Painting: For her, painting is about letting her interiority, her soul express itself and feeling the inner beauty of things. Deeply convinced that everything in this world carries beauty and light and that this beauty is not always where we expect it, she invites everyone to discover this light that shines around and in each of us. Now fully invested in her artistic journey, she explores her emotions more than ever and probes those of the world to offer works that she wishes to be full of serenity, joy of living and light.
She diverts, recycles, explores materials, supports and creates with enthusiasm from morning to evening in her workshop perched on the roof of her house in Toulon.
This is how with flat areas of materials, in colors spread with knives, squeegees or other improvised tools, Brigitte infuses her creative energy into her canvases: they capture us in their light and surprise us with their textures.
His pleasure is to bring raw mineral textures into dialogue with metallic colors, gold, copper, etc.
The golden and copper colors Symbols of delicacy, light, and serenity, both lively and vibrant, reflect differently depending on the light and the location of the viewer so the painting can light up at any time and add as if by magic new dimensions to the room or space in which it is located.
Continuing to connect her art to spirituality in her own way, she remains convinced that sophrology, meditation, breathing and art come together, and allow the mind to relax, to achieve calm, serenity, develop concentration and attention of the mind This allows her to create an art that she wants to be positive, subtle and contemplative, one that can create emotion, poetry, bring well-being and positive energy, in our hearts and in our lives.
Mannequins Upcycling art: Brigitte's second passion, which is a bit of an extension of her work as a sophrologist, is to recover abandoned window or sewing mannequins, to transform them, divert them and give them a second chance, a new life.
Symbols of a standardized and illusory worldview, models represent ideal femininity and bodily perfection, they bring us back to our own human condition. Often victims of the ravages of time, they are ultimately abandoned, dismembered, fragmented, mutilated and faceless. Its mission: to make these mannequins or parts of mannequins beautiful and unique so that we can finally look at them, and differently. Because we never see them as such for what they are, we only pay attention to what they show us: clothes, accessories... By recovering them both, she contributes in her own way to good -being of the planet by being part of a desire for sustainable development, which saves natural resources and limits waste, but it is also a bit as if it heals souls wounded by life, in exchange, they allow it to reconcile with herself and reclaim her own body.
Patina, rust, paint drips, gilding, gold leaf collages, jewelry, each mannequin is worked like a canvas following its inspiration of the moment until it becomes original decorative objects, lamps, paintings, or antique sculptures seeming to have been carved from stone or cast in bronze.
